Mateo Arias | LPCC, NCC, BCS
I am an Afro-Indigenous (Nahua/Taíno) Latine Therapist who understands that everyone heals differently. My approach is flexible, collaborative, & grounded in an existential-integrative lens—supporting not only symptom relief, but also greater authenticity, connection, choice, & meaning.
How I work: I balance top-down and bottom-up approaches, integrating insight & cognitive-behavioral change with attention to the nervous system & embodied experience. Depending on your needs, I draw from empirically supported methods, such as Neuroaffirming ACT, EMDR, CBT-I for insomnia, clinical and medical hypnotherapy, & the Gottman Method.
Why it matters: Healing isn't one-size-fits-all. I also support people experiencing challenging or adverse effects from meditation & mindfulness-based practices or interventions, recognizing that more mindfulness is not always the answer.
Core Focus Areas
Trauma Recovery: Acute Stress, Bicultural trauma, PTSD, & CPTSD.
Systems of Control & Undue Influence: Recovery from coercive & high-control family, romantic, religious, spiritual, or cult dynamics.
Sleep & Mind-Body Health: CBT-I for insomnia & clinical & medical hypnotherapy to support cognitive, behavioral, & mind-body change.
Mindfulness-Related Difficulties: Navigating challenging, unexpected, or adverse effects associated with meditation & mindfulness-based practices or interventions.
Relationships & Sexuality: Strengthening communication, connection, intimacy, sexuality, & relational well-being.
Identity & Culture: Culturally sustaining, QT/BIPOC-affirming, & neuroaffirming care that honors identity, culture, community, & lived experience.
Health & Life Transitions: Navigating aging, career issues, chronic pain, disability, grief, health changes, identity, loss, meaning, & purpose.
The Bottom Line
Therapy can work from the top down, bottom up, or both—while staying connected to the larger questions of healing:
What matters to me? What can I change? What must I learn to live with? Who am I becoming? And how do I want to live?

Keke Perez | MSW
As an Afro-Indigenous (Taíno) Latine clinician, I know that Healing happens in relationship—with yourself, your body, your history, & your community. I offer a collaborative, culturally responsive approach supporting the mental health, trauma recovery, & personal growth of women & femmes.
How I work: I integrate CBT, DBT, and somatic approaches, balancing practical skills & insight with attention to emotions, embodied experiences, & the ways trauma can shape everyday life.
Why it matters: Therapy should make room for the full complexity of who you are. Together, we can build greater emotional well-being, strengthen your sense of agency, & support meaningful change while honoring your identities, relationships, culture, and lived experience.
Core Focus Areas
Trauma & Emotional Health: Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, sexual trauma, & trauma-related concerns.
Intimate Partner Violence: Healing from domestic violence, coercive relationships, & financial abuse while rebuilding safety, autonomy, & self-trust.
Identity & Family: Navigating family conflict, identity concerns, relational patterns, & challenges associated with personality disorders.
Traditional Afro-Caribbean Spirituality Integration: Culturally informed exploration & education related to traditional medicines, Afro-Caribbean spiritual traditions, & African spiritual healing practices.
The Bottom Line
Therapy can be a space to understand what you've experienced, reconnect with yourself, develop practical tools, & create change that reflects who you are & how you want to live.
