Complex Grief & Trauma Specialist
Individual & Relationship Therapy
I am an Afro-Indigenous Latine therapist and PhD Candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision with 29 years in Behavioral and Public Health serving QT/BIPOC and other minoritized communities, including 18 years in Physical Medicine as a Sports Specialist.
Comprehensive Approach
My interdisciplinary experience spans behavioral health, public health, physical medicine, counseling, and performance. I consider how body, mind, nervous system, culture, identity, relationships, spirituality, and performance interact—not just individual symptoms.
My Focus
I specialize in complex grief and trauma, especially when it affects:
- Body & nervous system
- Relationships & attachment
- Identity, culture & belonging
- Sleep
- Meaning, purpose & spirituality
- Performance
My approach is existential-integrative, trauma-responsive, culturally sustaining, neuroaffirming, and relational. Therapy is adapted to you, your context, your nervous system, and what matters to you.
The Common Thread
Trauma and grief affect more than the past. They can shape how we relate, sleep, experience our bodies, understand ourselves, and make meaning.
Therapy makes room for the psychological, relational, cultural, embodied, and spiritual dimensions of healing—without telling you what you should believe.

I know that Healing happens in relationship—with yourself, your body, your history, & your community. I offer a collaborative, culturally responsive approach supporting the mental health, trauma recovery, & personal growth of women & femmes.
How I work: I integrate CBT, DBT, and somatic approaches, balancing practical skills & insight with attention to emotions, embodied experiences, & the ways trauma can shape everyday life.
Why it matters: Therapy should make room for the full complexity of who you are. Together, we can build greater emotional well-being, strengthen your sense of agency, & support meaningful change while honoring your identities, relationships, culture, and lived experience.
Core Focus Areas
Trauma & Emotional Health: Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, sexual trauma, & trauma-related concerns.
Intimate Partner Violence: Healing from domestic violence, coercive relationships, & financial abuse while rebuilding safety, autonomy, & self-trust.
Identity & Family: Navigating family conflict, identity concerns, relational patterns, & challenges associated with personality disorders.
Traditional Afro-Caribbean Spirituality Integration: Culturally informed exploration & education related to traditional medicines, Afro-Caribbean spiritual traditions, & African spiritual healing practices.
